IBBME Annual Research Conference (IARC)

Since 1985, the Institute of Biomaterials & Biomedical Engineering Annual Research Conference has showcased the work of IBBME’s graduate students and faculty members through oral and poster presentations. It is the longest-running student-organized conference at the University of Toronto. In 2016, the event name was changed to IBBME Annual Research Conference to more accurately reflect the magnitude and impact of the event, which have been growing since 1985. It is an opportunity for our 300+ students and 100+ faculty to learn from distinguished scientists in the bioengineering field and discuss the state of the art in academia and industry on an international stage. The event has attracted many high profile speakers in the past, and is open to the broader community at the University of Toronto and its affiliated hospitals.
