Abstract:
Just like bustling cities, cells have intracellular transport systems that deliver cargo to the right place at the right time. Our studies on neuronal trafficking have identified new mechanisms regulating molecular motor activity and uncovered new modifications of the microtubule "highways." Our findings provide insight into the molecular mechanisms that determine neuronal architecture and function.
