Abstract:
The gut microbiome is a key environment variable that has a profound impact on health and disease. In the context of the inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, it is known that gut microbes influence progression and severity of the disease. Our lab is interested in understanding how microbes contribute to Crohn’s disease and how leveraging aspects of the microbiome may lead to the development of therapies to dampen inflammation.
