Experts in the fields of functional genomics, protein science, precision medicine, variant interpretation and computational genetics come from around the world meet to present their work, discuss new methods and provide insights on the future of this science for this two-day event.

We’re arranging a great lineup of speakers and talks on:

  • Computational variant effect prediction
  • Drug development, target identification and resistance
  • Germline variation in common diseases, cancer risk, mendelian disorders and pharmacogenomics
  • Pathogens
  • Sequence/structure/function relationships
  • Somatic variation in cancer
  • Variation and evolution.

The meeting will feature a session on the nascent Atlas of Variant Effects Alliance, as well as a workshop with practical tutorials on mutational scanning and analysis.

Toronto is an exciting vibrant and multicultural city, and the meeting will be held within walking distance of the University of Toronto and downtown Toronto. Come early and participate in Pride Toronto, or see family attractions like the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Royal Museum of Ontario.
