5th Annual Meeting of the Biophysical Society of Canada – May 28-31, 2019

On behalf of the organizing committee, I am pleased to invite you to the 5th annual meeting of the Biophysical Society of Canada on May 28 – 31, 2019 at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM).

The University of Toronto, Canada’s largest university, is composed of three campuses with the Mississauga campus (UTM) situated just west of the downtown Toronto core on 225 acres of protected greenbelt.

The congress has a terrific line-up of keynote and invited speakers, including Dr. Hue Sun Chan from the University of Toronto, who will give the National Lecture. The conference topics will include:
• Biophotonics
• Single-Molecule Biophysics
• Cell and Systems
• Disordered Proteins
• Biopolymers
• Cell Mechanics
• Receptors and Cell Signaling
• Membranes

The 2019 meeting will commence with an opening reception on May 28th, and run for three full days through the 31st. In addition, all attendees are invited to participate in the trainee symposium that will be held throughout the afternoon on May 28, just prior to the opening reception. The symposium will consist of a series of professionalism and skills development training sessions, as well as provide a venue for trainees to share their research accomplishments and network with their peers.
