Abstract:
We are interested in how microbes influence host physiology to shape the evolution and physiology of multicellular life. We investigate these processes in Caenorhabditis elegans, a simple animal host. We take a molecular genetic approach to the study of host physiology, with a focus on neuroendocrine signaling pathways that can be modulated by interactions with microbes.
