Abstract: 
Anne Monique Nuyt is a senior clinician scientist at CHU Ste-Justine, University of Montreal. Dr Nuyt studies mechanisms of developmental programming of hypertension and cardiovascular dysfunction in children and adults who were born preterm. Her translational research program spans from experimental animal work, to clinical as well as epidemiological studies. She is currently a Professor of Pediatrics, Head of the Division of Neonatology and Head of the Center of Excellence in Neonatology in CHU Sainte Justine. Her research is mainly supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Dr Nuyt has received a number of national/provincial awards for her research work and pediatric care, and is actively involved in international/national scientific societies in perinatal, pediatric and cardiovascular disease research.
