Abstract:
About 2% of the expressed human genome is used to make or recognize sugar chains. Every cell on planet Earth makes them. A hundred human genetic disorders demonstrate their importance and consequences of their loss. Physicians and patients’ families witness that daily. Scientists have to understand and explain how it works. 21st Century Medicine needs all stake holders to pitch in. Let's get started.
